Yorkshire Education schools staff golf day 2015.

On Tuesday of half term Yorkshire Education held the first ever York schools staff golf day. It gave us a chance to put on a fantastic event for all our partner schools who have done so much for us over the past year. YOu can see all the pictures here.

The event was held at the Oaks Golf Club and Spa and the weather certainly didn’t disappoint. All our guests were treated to breakfast on arrival, 18 holes of competition golf including Pimms at the half way house and a two course buffet to follow.

We were lucky enough to have our payroll company, Originem sponsor the event and provide £500 worth of prizes for the teams! Thank you for your generosity.

It was a hot bright day and there was some fantastic scores posted. The results can be seen below:

1st place – Tadcaster Grammar School

2nd place – Huntington School

3rd place – Pocklington School

Nearest to the pin – Jonathan Scutt (Huntington School)

Longest drive – Alex Carter (Tadcaster Grammar School)

We would like to say a huge thank you to all the teams who entered the competition, it was great to see you all and enjoy a beer with you after the golf! Hope to see you all again next year.

Thank you to the guys at the Oaks Golf Club for allowing the day to run so smoothly and providing a fantastic setting and spread for the golfers!

See you again next year.

Joe Butcher – Yorkshire Education.
