Cover Supervisor Role:

Hand out pre-set work to the students
Manage the classroom & behaviour of the students
Follow the schools disciplinary procedures
Be professional and punctual at all times
You must be confident enough to manage a classroom by yourself

You don’t need a teaching qualification for this role but you should have some experience of working with secondary school age students.

It is a fantastic way to gain classroom experience if you are intending going into a career in teaching or you would like to work with children or young people. It’s a great springboard to other roles in education.
