Cover Supervisors needed!
Yorkshire Education has quickly become York’s largest and most popular supply teaching agency and is contracted with many of the local schools.
Working in a school can be highly rewarding and you don’t have to be a qualified teacher, schools especially need Cover Supervisors.
Cover Supervisor role:
Hand out pre-set work to the students
Manage the classroom & behaviour of the students
Follow the schools disciplinary procedures
Be professional and punctual at all times
You must be confident enough to manage a classroom by yourself
Cover Supervisor work is a fantastic way to gain classroom experience if you are intending going into a career in teaching. It is also a highly satisfying job in its own right and would suit those who would like to work with children and young people.
You do not need a teaching qualification for this role but you should have some experience of working with secondary school age students. You must also be confident enough to manage a classroom by yourself.
Cover Supervisor work is very flexible and can be a great springboard to other roles in education.
You can work as much or as little as you like, it's completely up to you. Whether you are looking for the occasional day/half day, a few days every week, we may well have an opportunity for you.
