Cover Supervisors Required!
Yorkshire Education are looking for Cover Supervisors to work in Secondary schools in York, Selby and/or Goole.

Working as a Cover Supervisor can be extremely rewarding. The Cover Supervisor’s main job is to manage a classroom, ensuring that students remain on task with the work they have been set by an absent teacher.
Cover Supervisor jobs offer a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking to gain teaching and classroom experience before completing a PGCE.
You can work as much or as little as you like, it's completely up to you. Whether you are looking for the occasional day, a few days every week, we may well have an opportunity for you.
Qualifications required:
Degree as a minimum educational requirement
Must have recent and relevant experience working with secondary aged pupils in an educational setting
Roles and Responsibilities:
Covering lessons in the absence of the timetabled teacher
Supervising the delivery of the cover work by effectively communicating the work set to students
Managing the behaviour of pupils whilst they are undertaking set work to ensure a positive learning environment
Dealing with any intermediate problems or emergencies in accordance with school policy and procedures
Reporting back as appropriate, using the schools standard procedures on the behaviour of pupils during the class and any issues arising.

Behaviour management skills

Be professional and punctual at all times
Be confident
Organisational skills
Ability to manage groups of children and cope with challenging behaviour
The ability to work as part of a team
Good reading, writing and numeracy skills
