Last night's Maths Mastery CPD with Pathfinder Teaching School Alliance

Thank you to all the teachers who attended our Primary CPD session last night and a huge thanks to Pathfinder Teaching School Alliance for putting on this session.

The CPD evening which was held at Archbishop Holgates School was hugely engaging and received great feedback from all that attended.

The session which was on Maths Mastery covered the following things:

The key elements of the Teaching for Mastery Approach which is used in east and south-east Asian countries
Explored and practiced with those elements
Explored some of the resources available for teaching for Mastery
Gained a deeper understanding of Mastery: Factual, Procedural and Conceptual

We are very grateful to be working with Pathfinder Teaching School Alliance. This is a fantastic opportunity for our supply teachers to receive CPD that otherwise would not be available to them. We believe our teachers deserve the training that teachers employed permanently would benefit from.

We are already looking forward to the next CPD session which is for Secondary teachers. The session will be on SEN which was a popular choice for our supply staff.
