Yorkshire Education are sponsoring the Yorkshire Schools Dance Festival for the second year running. The event is a great way to raise the profile of the arts/dance provision for children and young people. It is non-competitive and is for all ages, abilities, experience and dance styles.
In November the Yorkshire Schools Dance Festival will take place at the University of York and over 1200 young dancers from schools and groups across Yorkshire will perform to an audience of over 2500 people.
Each group choreographs and perform a 5-minute dance piece in response to their annual theme, for 2018 the theme is ‘changes’.
We are excited to sponsor such a fantastic event and our money will be used to help support dance in primary schools.
We can’t wait to see everyone’s performances.
