Cover Supervisors Required!

As a Cover Supervisor you will need:

  • A- Level qualifications

  • Experience in an environment working with children or teenagers

  • A positive can- do attitude to respond to busy schools

 

We welcome applications from people with experience of:

  • Working as a teaching assistant

  • Sports coaching

  • Youth work

  • Drama workshop/ drama school

  • After school club

  • Teaching abroad

  • Tutoring

  • Scouts, Guides/ Brownies/ Cubs/ Rainbows

  • Or any other experience of working with groups of children/ young people

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Covering lessons in the absence of the timetabled teacher

  • Supervising the delivery of the cover work by effectively communicating the work set to students

  • Managing the behaviour of pupils whilst they are undertaking set work to ensure a positive learning environment

  • Dealing with any intermediate problems or emergencies in accordance with school policy and procedures

  • Reporting back as appropriate, using the school’s standard procedures on the behaviour of pupils during the class and any issues arising.

 

You can work as much or as little as you like, it's completely up to you. Whether you are looking for the occasional day, a few days every week, we may well have an opportunity for you.
