How to become a geography supply teacher

What qualifications do I need to become a Geography teacher? Geography supply teachers should be fully qualified with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status). Before we can place you in schools, you must be registered with us. You only need to do this once. Full details of what documents you need will be emailed to you once you agree a date and time.
Registration involves an online video call, or face to face interview at our office with one of our experienced recruitment consultants where we explain how we work as an agency and check your documents.
What skills and experience will I need? A good Geography supply teacher should be able to deliver the work which has been set whilst applying excellent behaviour management skills. You also need to be adaptable and flexible as plans can change last minute.
Experience in a specific themes area such as coasts, volcanoes and cities, or issues such as migration and development make you more attractive to schools.
If you are a recently qualified Geography teacher, then working as a supply teacher will give you a range of experiences that will enhance your CV and improve opportunities of receiving long term positions. Two references from an educational background/establishment.
