Job Title: Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher
Location: York

Salary: MPS/UPS (Dependent on Experience)

About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher to join Yorkshire Education to work across secondary schools in York. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact by delivering high-quality language education across multiple settings, fostering a love for languages and cultural understanding among students.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach French, Spanish, or German (depending on expertise) to students aged 11–16      (KS3–KS4)

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that cater to a range of      abilities.

  • Travel between schools within the York area

  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and support.

  • Deliver  engaging and effective lessons in line with the national curriculum.

  • Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.

  • Proven experience teaching at least one modern foreign language.

  • Excellent  communication and organisational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and adapt to different school environments
