Are you an enthusiastic and adaptable teacher with a passion for supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs? Yorkshire Education is seeking a dedicated Early Years Level Teacher to work within an SEN provision for Ascent Trust, based in Bedale and Ripon.

This is a full-time position for the whole of the first term, teaching a secondary-aged class where pupils follow a personalised curriculum, most working at EYFS academic level.

In this role, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs.

• Support pupils with complex needs, including autism (70% of pupils are autistic).

• Implement specialist techniques such as sensory regulation strategies (e.g., deep pressure) to help pupils feel safe and engaged.

• Work collaboratively with support staff to ensure a nurturing and structured environment.

What skills and experience we are looking for:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

• Experience working with children with SEN (preferred)

• Ability to adapt teaching to meet individual needs and developmental stages

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
