We are currently seeking dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistants to work across a variety of secondary schools in York. Whether you're looking for flexible day-to-day work, short-term assignments, or long-term contracts, we have opportunities to suit your availability and experience.
About the Role:
Support pupils with a range of SEND needs including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) challenges.
Work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to deliver tailored support and interventions.
Help create inclusive, nurturing learning environments where every child can thrive.
Roles available in mainstream and specialist settings.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience working with children or young people with SEND (in schools, care, or youth settings).
A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, school hours (term-time only).
Choose your availability – full-time or part-time options available.
Requirements:
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
