National Supply Teacher Week

2015 – Yorkshire Education

 

Yorkshire Education have been providing supply teachers to schools across Yorkshire for the past two academic years. Based centrally in York, we are ideally located to provide to schools all over Yorkshire, building on our strong partnerships in the York area.  We delighted to be supporting National Supply Teacher Week for the first time this year and demonstrating our commitment to this fantastic cause by continuing our support of our amazing supply teachers:

Thanks to the teachers: 

Every term we hold a “Teacher of the Term” competition. We get feedback from all our partner schools and vote for the most committed, reliable and conscientious teacher that term. The prize is a pamper day for two at a luxury spa with treatments included. To support NSTW and thank our amazing workforce we will be holding a one of “Teacher of the Week” competition for more spa vouchers! 

 

CPD opportunities:

We will be announcing the title and date of an extra CPD course to be held during        the summer holidays. This will be in association with the National Science Learning and STEM centre, our fantastic training partners. This is completely free of charge for all our supply teachers!  

 

NQT support:

Yorkshire Education have been working very closely with local PGCE providers all year and will be focusing on finding all our NQTs their perfect position. We will also be  offering application and interview workshops with our education specialists who hold 70 years’ teaching and senior management experience along with interviewing for Hull York Medical School applicants. 

 

 

Social:

And finally the best time of the year for us! The end of year social. We held a Christmas drinks evening in York in December for all our Supply Teachers which went down incredibly well. Next week we will be announcing the date and location for our end of year party!
