Supply teaching during the run up to Christmas

November 20, 2015

If you are a teacher then you will probably already know, but it is 4 weeks to go until the Christmas holidays.

The run up to Christmas is a busy time for us and our supply teachers.

We have put together a list of top tips to deal with this busy time:

  • Always reply to our availability email so we know what days you can work for the following week.

  • If you agree to work a day/ couple of days, and then things change, please give us as much notice as possible so we can get someone to cover for you.

  • The weather is only going to get colder and colder so if you need to de-ice your windscreen on your car make sure you give yourself plenty of time to do it as there is nothing worse than turning up late to a school.

  • Make sure you bring a coat/ warm clothes as you might be expected to do break duty.

  • When going into a school close to Christmas stay prepared and have good lesson planned even if you end up watching a film.

We have had so much positive feedback from schools about many of our teachers and support staff so keep up the good work!
